2. Information We Collect
A. Account & Identity
We do not require you to create an account (no email or phone number needed). However, the Extension generates a random, anonymous Installation ID (UUID) locally on your device. This ID is used strictly to sync your saved preferences and video collections across sessions.
B. Usage Data & Content
To function correctly, the Extension may interact with the content of the web pages you visit (specifically tiktok.com).
- • Page Content: Browsing Activity: The Extension analyzes TikTok page content locally on your device to generate scores. We DO NOT track, store, or transmit your browsing history or personal feed to our servers. All passive analysis happens client-side.
- • User-Saved Content (Cloud Sync): If you explicitly click to "Save" a video analysis, we securely store that specific video's metadata (e.g., ID, score) in our encrypted cloud database (Supabase). This allows you to backup and retrieve your curated list.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information accessed by the Extension solely for the following purposes:
- • To provide functionality: To analyze TikTok profiles and display the "Underdog" metrics as requested by you.
- • To improve user experience: To remember your settings so you don't have to re-configure the Extension every time.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
4. Permissions
To function, this Extension requires certain permissions from your browser:
- • "Read and change your data on tiktok.com": This permission is strictly used to analyze the visible public data on TikTok pages to generate the radar reports. We do not access your private messages, passwords, or cookies for other sites.
- • Storage: Used to save your local configurations.
5. Third-Party Services
We utilize Supabase (a secure, open-source database provider) to host the "Cloud Sync" feature for your saved items. Supabase adheres to strict data security standards. We do not use third-party tracking pixels or behavioral analytics tools (like Google Analytics) within the Extension.
6. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us. Since the Extension processes data locally on your device, your data is protected by the security measures of your own browser and computer. Your "Saved Items" are stored in a secure database protected by Row-Level Security (RLS). This ensures that while your data is backed up to the cloud, it is associated only with your anonymous Installation ID. We employ strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
